Depression

Are you suffering with depression?

Depression is a common mental health problem, if you have it, you’re not alone. Without treatment, depression symptoms can affect people for years. Depression is not just about feeling sad, it can have an impact on your body, mood, behaviour, and thoughts.

My aim is to help you manage your symptoms, improve your quality of life, and help you to explore your feelings, acknowledge them and accept them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common symptoms of depression include persistent sadness or low mood, loss of interest or pleasure in activities, changes in appetite or weight, sleep disturbances, fatigue or low energy, feelings of worthless or guilt, difficulty concentrating, and thoughts of death or suicide.

Depression results from a complex interaction of social, psychological, and biological factors. People who have gone through adverse life events such as unemployment, bereavement, and traumatic events, are more likely to develop depression. Depression can lead to more stress and dysfunction and worsen the affected person’s life situation and the depression itself.
